Bagh-e-Alfaaz

Hey Everyone!

I’m going to upload a reading guide soon, so I thought to first touch on the Urdu alphabet. I interpreted each Urdu character and transliterated it how I was taught to say it (which can vary person-to-person). The purple writing under each character is meant to represent the very rough equivalent of each character in the English alphabet. For some more difficult characters such as Ain, Khe, Tey, etc., I would recommend finding a pronunciation guide on YouTube. When I was first learning to read Arabic and Urdu, I struggled a lot with sounds that needed lots of throat emphasis. It could be helpful to try speaking the letter into a recording app and comparing it to an example.

Also, I will soon be adding a button to the top of the page where you’ll be able to access the latest post instead of having to search the navigation bar.
